Our Story: How Ductlink Was Built from Real HVAC Experience

OUR STORY: How Ductlink Was Built from Real HVAC Experience

Ductlink did not start as a random product idea. It started from real experience in the HVAC and ductwork industry.

The company was founded by Diego Londono, who has spent more than 15 years working in the air conditioning and ductwork sector. Before leading companies in the industry, Diego worked directly as an installer. That experience gave him a clear understanding of what ductwork teams deal with every day on site.

He saw the same challenges repeated across projects: tools being moved constantly, materials being re-handled, offcuts getting disorganised, crews losing time searching for what they needed, and project efficiency being affected by issues that often go unnoticed.

Over time, that experience turned into a clear idea: the industry needed better, more practical equipment designed around the real way ducties and tradies work.

That is how Ductlink began.

With the support of his wife, Lina Escalante, and a team of talented professionals, the project has been developing since 2023 with passion, care and a strong connection to the trade community.

From the beginning, the goal was not just to sell products. The goal was to create solutions that help trades work smarter, protect their tools, organise materials and reduce unnecessary delays on site.

One of the first major products that helped shape the Ductlink range was the QBOX.

QBOX was developed after identifying a real need around site storage, material handling and project efficiency. On many construction sites, the cost is not only in the material itself. It is also in the time lost when crews are waiting, re-handling items, moving tools around or dealing with poor organisation.

In one real duct installation site example previously reviewed by our team, a large amount of overtime was linked not just to productive work, but to inefficiencies such as waiting, re-handling and site delays. That insight reinforced something we already believed: better organisation on site can make a real difference.

QBOX was created as an efficiency buffer not just a storage box.

It is designed to help teams keep materials, tools and offcuts organised, protected and easier to access. For ducties, this matters. Every extra movement, every misplaced item and every delay can affect the flow of a project.

Today, Ductlink continues to grow its product range with the same mindset: practical, trade-focused and built from real industry understanding.

We are also moving toward a more community-driven approach. We want our customers to be part of the journey. Through product feedback, future product experience events and direct conversations with tradies, we want to keep learning from the people using our equipment every day.

Ductlink is still growing, but the mission is clear:

To support ducties, tradies and construction teams with practical tools and equipment designed for the realities of site work.

And this is just the beginning.
